Invest Northern Ireland is inviting those with an interest in entrepreneurship to attend the public consultation meetings on its Accelerating Entrepreneurship strategy which will be held over the next three weeks. The regional workshops, to be held in Londonderry, Armagh and Belfast, will allow the public to be briefed on, and respond to, the proposals in the strategy.

The Accelerating Entrepreneurship strategy is set in the context of the need to develop a renewed culture of enterprise in Northern Ireland. The proposed new framework aims to help more people start and grow a successful business in Northern Ireland.

Fabian Monds Chairman, Invest NI and Terri Scott, Managing Director of Entrepreneurship and Enterprise, will present the regional workshops, which are open to the public and form part of the consultation process.

“It’s very important that all those with interest and expertise in this vitally important area, contribute to this public consultation process. In doing so they have an opportunity to influence the way forward, and ensure that the strategy will help deliver the much needed increase in the level of entrepreneurial activity and business start-ups in Northern Ireland,” says Fabian Monds.

The meetings will be held in the Everglades Hotel, Londonderry on the 14th February, in the City Hotel, Armagh on the 20th February and in the Waterfront Hall, Belfast on 25th February. All meetings start at 10.30am. Copies of the Accelerating Entrepreneurship strategy are available on the Invest NI website at . Those who would like to register for the event, can do so at or by telephoning Belfast 028 9039 3845.
