Invest Northern Ireland recently held three regional seminars to update businesses on the range of collaborative R&D support available. Collaborative R&D involves local businesses working with other businesses and organisations within and outside Northern Ireland.

Attendees heard how Invest NI’s Collaborative R&D advisors can help companies access a wide range of EU and UK research funding opportunities. These include grants of up to €300,000 available for Eurostars projects. Eurostars is currently open for applications with the next assessment deadline on 4 April 2013. Further funding opportunities will arise with the launch of Horizon 2020 next year. At the seminars three local companies also outlined how collaborative R&D has moved their businesses forward.
