Enterprise Minister meets members of Kurdistan Regional Government Group

Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster is pictured with representatives of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) at the first meeting of the Memorandum of Understanding steering group, held today at the Killyhevlin Hotel, Enniskillen.

 

Invest NI has targeted Kurdistan as a region of Iraq that has the potential for significant growth and trade opportunities for Northern Ireland. The Memorandum of Understanding, signed by the Minister in Kurdistan, encourages closer collaboration in the areas of economic development, tourism, agriculture, higher education and police training.

?Arlene Foster said: “It is important that we build on our partnerships with Kurdistan and continue to share our expertise in common areas of interest. I am confident that this visit will further strengthen the trade and strategic business partnership that already exist between Kurdistan and Northern Ireland.”
