Enterprise Minister visits Irwin's Bakery

Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has visited Irwin’s Bakery to celebrate 100 years of baking at the Portadown business.

Founded as WD Irwin & Sons Ltd in 1912 and now owned and managed by the third generation of the Irwin family, the purpose built plant bakery at Carn Industrial Estate currently employs c.430 staff manufacturing a range of large breads and morning goods under the Irwin’s brand, the Rankin Selection brand, and supermarket own label.
