Belfast company, Flint Studios Ltd, is taking on 10 new staff to underpin an ambitious business growth strategy, with the support of Invest Northern Ireland.
The company is a web, software development, digital and creative communications agency. It currently employs 12 staff and works primarily in the education, retail, property, aviation, insurance, hospitality and financial services sectors.
Invest NI has offered £80,000 of support for the new jobs.
Jeremy Biggerstaff, Flint Studios’ Managing Director, said: “Our strategy over the next three years is to increase our sales in Great Britain and also to expand sales internationally, starting with Japan where we will be working in partnership with another company.
“We’re also keen to develop new products that will give us additional revenue streams. All this requires more staff than we currently have. Invest NI’s financial support is allowing us to quickly recruit the number and level of staff that we need to realise these plans.”
Flint Studios has previously benefitted from Invest NI Jobs Fund support for three jobs and has also received support for management.
Commenting on the company’s expansion, George McKinney, Invest NI’s Director of Technology & Services, said: “Flint Studios has identified new export market opportunities for its web based products and, with our support, is moving quickly to take advantage of these.
“These 10 new high value jobs will contribute £375,000 a year to the economy and will almost double the company’s workforce. This will ensure that Flint Studios can build on the innovative ideas and excellent customer service that have enabled it to secure an impressive client list in the UK. The company will now be applying the same expertise and customer focus to win clients around the world.”
