Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has welcomed the news that Bombardier has secured a deal with Flexjet LLC, valued at approximately $5.2 billion.

The order for up to 245 planes involves a number of Bombardier’s aircraft programmes which are all supported from its Northern Ireland operations.

Arlene Foster said: “This latest order represents very good news for Bombardier and signals its continued success. As a major employer in Northern Ireland, this significant order will help to secure Bombardier’s long-term future, in addition to benefiting the local aerospace supply chain.

“Invest Northern Ireland has been working closely with Bombardier and other aerospace companies to support growth and ensure that the sector remains internationally competitive.”
