Feb 01, 2007

Over 40 business people from Ballymena, Antrim, Larne, Ballymoney, and Carrickfergus, learnt how to increase their profit margins at an Invest NI event held at the Adair Arms Hotel in Ballymena today.

Organised by Invest Northern Ireland’s North Eastern Regional Office, the event gave business professionals the opportunity to share their experiences, network and learn about creative new business solutions.

The event facilitated informal networking between local export focused companies, which was complemented by more formal presentations from expert speakers on a wide-range of issues. Keynote speaker Feargal McCormack from FPM Accountants LLP gave an informative presentation called ‘Profit Improvement Strategies’ to the attendees.

Commenting on the success of the event, Des Gartland Manager of Invest NI’s North Eastern Regional Office said:

“The regional office network acts as a gateway to the full range of business support services offered by Invest NI and events such as this are an effective way of highlighting how the organisation works with local businesses to develop their skills and abilities.

“It is no secret that maintaining a healthy profit margin is essential to business success, allowing a company to grow, develop and invest in innovative research and development.

“By attending this event the companies were able to learn good techniques from an experienced accountancy house on how to get the most from their business.”
