Invest NI 2012/13 performance In Cookstown

Invest Northern Ireland 2012/13 performance results for the Cookstown District Council Area show that support from the agency promoted over 300 new jobs last year.

  

Mary Gormley, Manager of Invest NI’s western regional office said: “Invest NI has offered over £3.8 million of support to businesses in the Cookstown DCA which has resulted in over £18 million of investment commitments and the promotion of 304 new jobs.

“This is a positive performance by Invest NI, especially for the indigenous business base as there was a 152 per cent increase in the number of jobs promoted by locally owned firms from the previous year.

“Moving forward, I would hope that we could build on this performance but to do so we need to work in partnership with all stakeholders. Invest NI cannot direct investment to specific council areas but we are fully committed to working with local stakeholders to ensure that every region is positively portrayed and can maximise its success in securing investment projects.”
