Invest Northern Ireland Helps Local Firms get Better Connected

Apr 06, 2006

As part of ‘Go for it’ week Invest Northern Ireland recently organised an e-solutions roadshow at Acorn, the business centre in Ballymena to help local companies improve their IT processes.

Skilled ICT advisors were on hand to help around 16 local companies learn how a few low-cost and easy-implemented IT and telecommunication technologies could bring real business benefits.

The advisors demonstrated some of the latest technologies available today and were able to assess and analyse the unique IT needs of each individual company that attended.

Commenting on the success of the event, George McKinney, Regional Manager of Invest NI’s North Eastern Local Office said:

“This type of event is extremely important in helping local companies to take advantage of the latest IT developments and improve their competitiveness. By using some of the new technologies available businesses will be able to stay ahead of their rivals and enhance their service offering.”

The week will culminate in ‘Go for it’ - the enterprise show at the Seven Towers Leisure Centre, Ballymena on Friday 7 April from 3pm to 9pm and Saturday 8 April from 10am to 5pm.

Open to all and free of charge the show has been specifically designed to give advice and support to potential entrepreneurs planning a new business or developing an existing one.

The show will cover a wide range of business issues such as business planning, finance, marketing, health & safety and IT.
