The Invest Northern Ireland backed company is run by Monica McGeary, who set up the centre approximately three years ago to deliver a range of high quality, direct marketing activities. These include telemarketing, lead generation, attendance drives for events, database development and cleansing. Strategic services offered by IMM include market research and advisory on in-house telesales operations.
Commenting on IMM the judges said: “IMM has been commended for its obvious hunger to grow and develop into a quality business. It is representative of the drive and energy present in Ireland’s entrepreneurial contact centres.”
Monica, who worked in the US for four years as a senior manager for a specialist integrated direct marketing company, says: “We’re absolutely delighted to have been recognised in this way. Although we are a small centre we are committed to excellence and customer service and this has resulted in us securing some very high level customers.”
The business currently employs eight and 50% of turnover comes from export sales. The company plans to push this export figure up to 70% and position itself as a niche player offering direct marketing services to those companies who are aggressively looking for business growth.
Invest NI has supported IMM since its set-up by helping it develop capability in all the key business areas. The company is currently involved in Invest NI’s Competitive Excellence Process, which is helping it to analyse its operations and competitive position.
Anthony McDowell from Invest NI’s western local office, has been working closely with the company to make sure it can access the wide range of assistance available to small companies which are keen to grow.
