Invest Northern Ireland 2012/13 performance results for the Coleraine District Council area show that more than five tImes the level of planned investment was secured than in the previous year.

Invest NI made offers totalling £2.17 million of support which secured almost £15 million of investment commitments from businesses in the area. These projects promoted 88 new jobs.

Des Gartland, Manager of Invest NI’s North West Regional Office said: “This is a positive performance by Invest NI in the Coleraine area. Invest NI has secured almost £15 million of investment commitments and has shown a strong support for the local business base with over 95 per cent of support offered in the area going to locally owned companies.

“Moving forward, I hope that we can build on this performance working in partnership with all stakeholders.

“In addition to the above support Invest NI, and the European Regional Development Fund, are supporting a number of Local Economic Development projects in the north west. These are managed by local councils and will ultimately see over £5.5m of funding being offered to develop programmes that will specifically address the needs of businesses in each council area and boost local economic development.”
