  • Combining a structured marketing and sales approach to identify new sales opportunities outside of NI

The session will cover

  • Find new customers and increase the reach of your brand globally
  • The workshop will look at some of the costs and challenges involved in selling online, and some typical marketing tactics used by successful online sellers

11:00 - 11:40 Go Canada

Canada is one of the UK’s strongest trading partners and offers competitive companies opportunities in a wide range of sectors, as well as being a stepping stone to the US market and Mexico. Invest NI’s Go Canada programme will offer companies 1:1 consultancy support from a specialist trade advisor based in Canada, individual tailored market research, development of individual export sales presentation, a Group market visit to Toronto involving qualified meetings with potential customers or partners and guidance on a follow-up action plan on how to develop the opportunities. Invest NI’s support may be subject to some eligibility criteria.

11:40 - 12:20 Reducing Risk, Unlocking Opportunity

UK Export Finance (UKEF) is the UK’s Export Credit Agency. Discover how UKEF can help you to boost your export sales: financing exports while protecting your cash flow and how we have supported Northern Ireland companies.

UKEF will provide information on: payment methods and risks, the types of finance available (including working capital), trade finance (pre and post-export) and export insurance. Bank of Ireland will discuss the risks and challenges regarding foreign currency exchange and how to manage your exposure in different markets.
