What is the Irish FA Enterprise Programme?

The Irish FA Enterprise Programme sponsored by Invest NI uses football to engage students in business and enterprise awareness, from innovation and product design, to sales and marketing and physically developing protoypes of their products.

As part of the programme, in addition to developing and creating a Northern Ireland branded product, the pupils took part in enterprise and football related workshops on sales, marketing, manufacturing and business.

Pupils from 42 schools across 5 regions took part in the programme. The winning team from each region was invited to the final event which took place on 26 March in Invest NI's Belfast Office.

The teams presented their products and business plans to a team of Dragons' from the world of business and marketing.

The winning team came from St Joseph's College, Coalisland who were chosen as the overall winners for their product nightwalker a training shoe with lights which can be used for play sports in the dark or for children who are scared of the dark.
