A Higher Level Apprenticeship is a nationally accredited work-based programme. It is designed to meet the needs of employers for higher skill levels and provides apprentices the opportunity to gain quality training and a recognised higher qualification whilst in paid employment.

Higher Level Apprenticeships allow employers to train staff to the level needed so they have strong technical and good employability skills. An apprenticeship can fill higher level skills gaps, help attract higher calibre staff, increase productivity and develop existing staff.
