Nine Northern Ireland companies visted Global Offshore Wind on a sector mission to investigate supply chain opportunities in offshore wind.

Offshore wind will play a vital role in the global race to net zero, but with only 2% of capacity needed currently installed there is still a long way to go.

Northern Ireland is an emerging region of excellence with a range of innovative design, manufacturing, installation, operation and maintenance companies supplying products and services to support offshore wind energy farms and also in the production of green hydrogen from curtailed wind power.
