The chance to visit or exhibit at CONEXPO-CON/AGG only comes around every three years, and for a number of reasons the 2017 show is not to be missed.

CONEXPO-CON/AGG is the biggest show in the construction industry and therefore the most significant international event for the Materials Handling sector. With some 2,400 exhibitors and over 130,000 attendees it’s an opportunity for Northern Ireland companies to showcase their products, view the latest innovations and get invaluable insight into industry issues and trends.

The 2017 show is taking place in Las Vegas, 07–11 March, and there will be a Northern Ireland group stand at the event as well as a number of local companies exhibiting in their own right.

Why CONEXPO– CON/AGG 2017 offers unique opportunities

Northern Ireland has recognised excellence in the Materials Handling sector, with a number of companies (Anaconda, Edge, CDE, Portafill, Telestack, Smiley Monroe, among others) successfully exporting their products. In 2015/16 Northern Ireland’s machinery and transport equipment sector exported £790.3m of goods to the Americas alone.

The recent fall in the value of sterling is making Northern Ireland exports even more attractive in overseas markets. Local companies can now offer competitive prices giving them a real opportunity to break into the US market or expand their customer base there.

“We were able to meet a number of existing customers, consolidate relationships and gain a better understanding of the market and their individual businesses. New potential customers were identified and solid leads/enquiries obtained.” RP Group, previous attendee at CONEXPO-CON/AGG

Planned investment on highways by the US government coupled with a renewed focus on recycling in the States, including recycling of construction waste, also offers new opportunities. In the recycling arena in particular, Northern Ireland companies are ahead of the game with many offering machines that are made specifically for this purpose.
