Invest Northern Ireland Chief Executive, Alastair Hamilton, has announced that Belfast based AquaQ Analytics has secured a £1m export deal in the US.
The new contract is to capture and analyse market data for a New York global investment management firm. The company will have an 11 person team dedicated to this new contract. These roles are part of 27 new staff recruited over the last six months, with support from Invest NI, increasing AquaQ Analytics’ workforce by 70 per cent.

Making the announcement, Alastair Hamilton said: “AquaQ Analytics has shown a strong commitment to exporting which is contributing to the company’s significant growth and ensuring that it is grabbing the attention of major firms in the US.
“The company has used Invest NI trade support to visit the US a number of times. This has demonstrated a firm commitment to its overseas partners and has enabled it to build relationships to secure this valuable contract. It is now in a very good position for further growth in the US, a market which offers significant opportunities for Northern Ireland businesses.”
AquaQ Analytics specialises in high speed, time sensitive database solutions. Providing expertise in big data ecosystem development across multiple industries, with current projects in capital markets, utilities and transport.
“We have worked in partnership with the company and offered it a range of support to help it grow its team here and win new export sales. The 27 jobs will contribute over £780,000 annually in additional salaries to the Northern Ireland economy and have been vital in helping AquaQ Analytics win this new contract”, continued Alastair.
Invest NI has offered AquaQ Analytics over £138,000 of support towards the 27 positions, all of which are in place, and export market assistance.
