The Print Factory in Enniskillen is implementing a £40,000 project to further increase the skills of its employees and help the company target high-value export sales, with support from Invest Northern Ireland.
The Print Factory offers a variety of design and print services for clients in a range of markets including the UK, Republic of Ireland and the USA. Its products include bespoke wedding stationery, memorial cards, posters, brochures, menus and magazines.
Invest NI is backing the initiative by offering over £11,000 of funding, part financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The project is enabling employees to work across a wider range of functions, enhance efficiency, reduce costs and provide an even better service to customers.
Commenting on the project, Invest NI’s Director of Business Improvement Services, Niall Casey, said: “By investing in the skills of its staff, The Print Factory can improve a variety of its business operations, increase effectiveness and boost overall performance. This is helping the company as it aims to sell more products outside Northern Ireland and achieve its commercial objectives.
“In order to be more competitive in export markets, it is crucial that local companies develop the skills of their employees, so they can work more flexibly, raise standards and deliver the best possible service for customers.”
John Cosgrove, Managing Director of The Print Factory, said: “With training being delivered in a variety of processes, our staff can enhance their personal capabilities and carry out a range of services that we would otherwise have to source externally. This increased flexibility is helping The Print Factory to avoid unnecessary costs and meet the needs of our customers even more efficiently.”
“IT training is helping our employees to process internet orders faster and grow our web-based business. Administration, finance, and management skills are also being further developed through this project, improving our processes in those key functions,” added Mr Cosgrove.
