Sysco Software doubles exports and secures honour from Microsoft

Oct 23, 2009

Belfast based Sysco Software, has doubled its export business with support from Invest Northern Ireland.

Sysco provides implementation, training and consultation across the island of Ireland and Great Britain for small, midmarket and corporate businesses using business applications to manage company resources from stock to finance.

Support from Invest NI and the European Regional Development Programme helped the company to implement a new marketing strategy and employ a product development manager to enhance the company’s portfolio in target markets.

As a result, export turnover has doubled in RoI and the company has now secured a position in the 2009 Microsoft Dynamics President’s Club. Sysco is the only company in Northern Ireland and one of only two in Ireland to have secured the accreditation.

The prestigious President’s Club recognises Microsoft Business Solutions partners that perform in the top 5 per cent worldwide in terms of sales and demonstrate dedicated commitment to customers.

Congratulating the company on its President’s Club success, Invest NI Chief Executive, Alastair Hamilton, said: “This is an impressive achievement for Sysco, which reflects the company’s dedication to providing leading-edge solutions and services to its customers. It is companies such as this, working at the highest levels of excellence in both service delivery and customer care, that will help to strengthen Northern Ireland’s IT sector and enhance its reputation globally.”

Ian Topping, Sysco Sales Manager, says: “By working closely with the teams at Microsoft, we aim to provide solutions that best meet our customers’ business needs, allowing them to achieve new levels of success. We have received great support over the years from Invest NI in the areas of people and product development and this has undoubtedly contributed to achieving this accreditation.”

The company was congratulated by Doug Kennedy, vice president, Microsoft Dynamics Partners, who said that the accomplishment was a result of Sysco demonstrating unparalleled commitment by investing in the success of Microsoft Dynamics, its customers and solutions.
