Nine Northern Ireland companies exhibited as part of the Northern Ireland pavilion at the UK Space Conference at the ICC Belfast from 21-23 November with a further five companies exhibiting independently.  The Space industry is growing in Northern Ireland founded on a strong heritage and rich in knowledge, skills and experience in both engineering and technology industries.  Northern Ireland companies specialise in Electric Propulsion, Antenna Design, Advanced Data Analytics, Light Weighting and Materials Technology – Small SAT Design, Small Sat Vibration , Shock and Thermal Testing, Secure Communications and Embedded Sensors.

    They are an innovative firm that deliver solutions, recently gaining their ADS SC21 Gold status. This is the highest category performance standard for the ADS&S supply chain in the UK.

  • Denroy is one of the world’s leading innovators in the design and manufacture of engineered polymer components and solutions. They supply high performance thermoplastics to OEMs and Tier 1s including Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Spirit, GKN & BAE and hold accreditations including Boeing BAC 5321 Class 1&2, AS9100, SC21Gold and JOSCAR.

  • Established in 2004, IeMOS Technology is a best-in-class provider of cost-effective, high performance superjunction MOSFETs, MEMS solutions and advanced engineering substrates that outperform competing solutions with a much simpler, lower cost process. The company has a manufacturing centre of excellence located in Belfast, Northern Ireland, an advanced research centre in Tempe, Arizona and a design centre in Tokyo, Japan.

  • CSIT perform comprehensive research on Post Quantum Communications to ensure fault tolerant, resilient hardware implementations suitable for use on platforms like IoT devices and space-friendly FPGAs to be deployed on satellites. It has designed retrodirective self-steering antennas for rocket launchers and wireless power transfer electronic devices for drones and HAPS.

  • SKYTEK is an award-winning, advanced software company specialising in creating innovative solutions for a range of complex and demanding industries.   • SPRINGCO has nearly 60 years' experience in supplying specialist spring solutions and can design and manufacture all types of springs for almost any application. The company manufactures and supplys compression, tension, torsion, flat springs, wireforms as well as a wide range of miscellaneous springs in exotic metals specialising in nickel and cobalt alloys.
