We will update this page shortly with details of the companies attending.

South Africa

South Africa is one of the most sophisticated emerging markets in the world. The unique combination of well-developed first-world financial markets and an emerging, non-oil dependent economy gives rise to opportunities across a number of sectors.

Why South Africa?

  • South Africa is an English-speaking market and there is only a small time difference with the UK
  • Population of 57 million - relative macroeconomic stability and a pro-business environment
  • Similar business and banking practices to UK and European standards
  • Provides exporters with an access route to the Southern African Development Community
  • A large supply of natural resources

For further information read the guide on Doing business in South Africa: South Africa trade and export guide.

Kenya

Kenya serves as the commercial hub of East Africa, with many international companies choosing to establish an East African head office in its capital city, Nairobi.

Why Kenya?

  • Population of 50 million – The largest Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in South Eastern and Central Africa
  • Positive economic outlook with an expected real GDP growth averaging 6% over the next 5 years
  • Good financial and legal systems as compared to sub-Saharan Africa
  • Fully liberalised economy - free flow of trade and foreign private investment
