Invest NI led a trade mission to Boston and New York to introduce Northern Ireland companies with sport related products and services, and Northern Ireland education institutions with study abroad programmes, to U.S. Colleges.
This mission provided the Northern Ireland organisations with a unique opportunity to pitch to and meet with athletic departments and study abroad decision makers from U.S. Colleges.

Northern Ireland is a leading hotspot for the development of sport related products and services. Participating on this mission was a core group of four companies which use web, app, GPS and virtual reality technologies to provide performance related products which are pushing the confines of athlete and coaching intelligence. Two of the participant companies provide products for stadium and training facilities in the areas of scoreboards and ice bath therapy. Another two excel in the supply of playing gear, training gear and leisure wear across a range of sports. The final company specialises in arranging College sports tours to Northern Ireland and has recently hosted Yale and St. Joseph’s.

Chaka Travel create bespoke school and college sports tours using their intimate knowledge of Ireland. With a wealth of experience stretching over twenty years, Chaka Travel have recently hosted top US colleges Yale University, St Joseph's University and Duquesne University on pre-season tours where they have competed at various levels against local teams, whilst immersing themselves in world-class cultural experiences.
Cloud Rupture are a virtual and augmented reality company. Their primary product, Swingchronicity, is a golf training experience which acts as a virtual coach by analyzing a player’s backswing, body posture, club head speed, face angle, head path, position of impact and angle of attack. It also overlays the swings of world champion golfers which will be critical in developing winners for the future.
FSL Scoreboards provide scoring, advertising and performance management solutions, offering value propositions for teams who can use these products to create additional revenue streams and increase brand awareness. They have supplied thousands of sporting clubs worldwide and can cater for any sport where score and time keeping are important features.
Movement Innovation Lab’s state of the art research facility at Queen’s University Belfast exploits advances in virtual reality technology to probe decision-making (Action Intelligence™) in sport. Movement Innovation Lab use this activity to offer new insights into player performance.

Performa Sports is an innovative sports technology company focused on evolving the role, speed, and simplicity of mobile and cloud technology as a game-changer in sports performance analysis and coaching. Specializing in integration of analysis within the coaching process for athlete development, their products include analysis of live and post- game video and coaching behaviour.
Sports Merchandising Ireland are a sports clothing and equipment company supplying teams, schools and universities. Their services include in-house graphic design, embroidery, print and full sublimation printing of garments across many sports including basketball, ice hockey, soccer and rugby. STATSports, founded in 2008 has changed the way sport is analyzed, coached and viewed, by combining cutting edge technology and sports science. STATSports provides world leading performance monitoring devices for elite sports teams which are worn by athletes during practice games and matches to collect intricate data on their performance and physical well being.
